Caramel Apple Oil Painting

8" x 8" Oil on Stretched Canvas
Caramel Apple

Some foods take on special significance in certain seasons and this is one of those foods. Caramel apples were actually invented in the 1950's by a sales representative for Kraft Foods, Dan Walker. It was a smart marketing move to help sell more of their individually wrapped caramels They were a popular candy at Halloween. Candy apples were invented in 1908 by another candy maker, William W. Kolb, using red cinnamon candy.

Can you just taste the combination of gooey caramel and the juicy apple? Yum.

This painting captures the imagination of your taste buds. You didn't know they had an imagination, did you?
